About the Hisaronu / Ovacik area
Hisaronu is a small but lively resort that comes alive during the summer months. The resort is popular with both couples and families as it has something for everyone. As well as the “in resort” hotels there are numerous shops, bars and restaurants. Other amenities include water parks, fairground and go-karting. A short bus ride away is the beach resort of Oludeniz with its outstanding beaches and famous Blue Lagoon.
Paragliding is available from the top of the Babadag Mountain. Just outside Hisaronu is the ancient ruins of Kayakoy the ideal area for hiking and pony trekking.

Ovacik is the neighbouring village to Hisaronu, and with its close proximity it’s hard to tell where one starts and the other ends. But they are very different in lifestyles.
Ovacik is a much more relaxed and quieter area. Set below the mountains Ovacik offers wonderful vistas of the surrounding area and with its cooling breeze in the summer keeps the temperatures comfortable. The area has its range of shops, bars and restaurants and amenities include a water park. Ovacik is home to many expats and as such has additional amenities like bakers, hairdressers, diy outlets etc. There is normally at least a couple of shops within a few hundred metres of most properties. Local buses and taxis provide inexpensive transport into Hisaronu and Oludeniz.
